About Andy Tan:

“Andy Tan [1960, Jakarta] started taking pictures at an early age due to his father who always carried a camera around. Classically schooled at Koninklijke Academie van Beeldende Kunsten in The Hague, Andy is part of a succesful and technical sublime generation Dutch photographers. Renowned for his playful pictures topped with a mysterious and often sensual sauce, indefinable watery colours, tensive lighting and sophisticated aesthetic.

Living in Amsterdam, snapping the world around him, and especially all the vibrant people he meets, is his lifestyle and passion. His signature photography, laidback vibe, great positive energy, delicious sense of humour, and passion for people and music, make him mine and many others favourite photographer.”
